Unlike paper source documents which are typically scattered throughout a research site, all Clinical Ink™ source data resides in a state-of-the-art data center featuring the highest level of security, safety, redundancy and reliability. Below are a few of the general features of the facility:
- SAS 70 type II compliant
- Ballistic-rate exterior, including doors and windows
- Man traps on all doors
- 24/7/365 security guards monitoring all cameras, doors and badge access
- Redundant off site monitoring of security systems
- All electrical supply is configured in a 2N 1 model
- Redundant utility feeds, transformers, main switch panels
- 2 Megawatt diesel generator, 1 week continuous runtime without refueling
- Moisture containment basins and sensors ensure no moisture gets in data center
While Clinical Ink's source data remains under the control of the Investigator, it is maintained far more securely than it could be if it remained at the research site.
At the conclusion of a traditional study, paper source documents are placed in boxes and stored in warehouses, threatened by everything from rodents to hurricanes. However, Clinical Ink source data is transferred to long-term storage servers where it remains safe and accessible for as long as necessary.
