Doug Pierce co-founded Clinical Ink in 2007 to revolutionize clinical trials by eliminating the complexities and costs associated with paper-based data processes. Well before the launch of the iPad, Doug and late Clinical Ink co-founder Tommy Littlejohn, M.D., mapped out their vision for a tablet-based clinical trial application that would support electronic data capture, validation, and sharing.
With more than 20 years of experience in digital forms technology and mobile data capture, Doug cocreated Clinical Ink’s eSource suite as an intuitive application interface with a focus on optimizing user experience. He is committed to the goal of reducing site workload and improving clinical research experiences for sites, sponsors, and patients alike.
As Clinical Ink’s President, Doug continues to empower the future of clinical research, driving forward targeted eSource solutions such as the innovative Lunexis™ platform. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Montana.
